Outside The County-Maconaquah

The Maconaquah boys soccer team kicked off sectional play with a win over Peru, 7-0.

Scoring for Maconaquah were Seniors Zach Sparks and Wyatt Price with 2 goals each, Ethan Zeiser, Ryan Ousley and Isaac Lorenz each scored a goal. Recording assists for the Braves were Zeiser, Bennett Isenburg and Bauer Maple each with 1 and Evan Oglesby with 2.

With this win and Oak Hill winning the 2nd game of the double header against Eastern, the two teams will meet in the 2nd game of Wednesday’s double header (approx 7 pm). The first game (5 pm start) will feature Northweatern vs Western. The two winners will play in the sectional finals on Saturday night at 7 pm.
