Results from Peru for Saturday, November 5th. The Peru Tigers traveled to Converse to take on the Oak Hill Lady Eagles in their first game of the season Saturday.

Ultimately the Tigers fell 45-37 after a poor shooting night. The Tigers shot 23% overall from the field. The Tigers played great defense and came back from a 16 point deficit but ran out of time to make a comeback.

The Tigers were lead offensively by Emma Eldridge with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 steals. Defensively the Tigers were lead by Brianna Bennett who tallied 8 steals, 7 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, and 1 block. Also contributing was Cameryn Raber with 7 points and 3 rebounds. Maddie Nordman with 6 points, 5 rebounds, 2 stls, and 1 block. Kaylene Kirk with 5 points and 3 rebounds. Addison Robbins with 3 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist. Emily Ream with 4 rebounds, and Brooklyn Garner with 1 rebound.

The Tigers next game will be their home opener at Tig-Arena, Tuesday Nov. 8th against the Caston Comets. JV tip off at 6:15 with Varsity to follow.

This weekend the 8th grade boys basketball team traveled to Logansport for the Chad Lambert Memorial Invitational. We played a very good Tipton team and lost 55 to 8. Lukas Ulery was leading scorer with 3 points followed by Ben Garner and Marcus Garner with 2 and Aiden Sheets with 1. The Tigers start the season 0 and 1. We play Pioneer at home on Monday November 14th.
