The Huntington North Girls Lady Viking basketball teamed host pre season ranked Fort Wayne Snider on Tuesday. The Vikings defeated Snider 48-42.
Snider jumped out to a lead early and held on through much of the 1st half. Leading with a halftime score of 19-30. The 2nd half was a different story. The Lady Vikes turned up the defense and held Snider to only 12 2nd half points. The Lady Vikes made a charge in the 3rd quarter with 2 3 pointers from Sophomore Marissa Trout. All-state candidate Sr. Taylor Double (Marian University commit) put the Lake Vikes over the top for good with a big 3 and couple free throws and Sophomore Haiden Bailey sealed the deal hitting 5 free throws in the 4th quarter.
The Lady Vikes were lead with Marissa Trout scoring 14 pts. Taylor Double added 13 and Haiden Bailey 10 pts. The Lady Vikes are now 1-0 (0-0). Next game at home Saturday against Carmel at 2:30pm JV tip at 1:00pm.
