Results from the Peru girls basketball team for Tuesday, November 8th

The Tigers welcomed the 1A #9 Caston Comets to Tig-Arena for our home opener of the season Tuesday, falling to the Comets 59-51.

The game did not disappoint as it was a back and forth battle all night. Ultimately the Comets pressure and offensive rebounding wore down the Tigers in the second half and the Tigers could not overcome the deficit.

Leading the Tigers offensively was Brianna Bennett with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, and 2 steals. Defensively the Tigers were lead by Emma Eldridge with 4 steals, 3 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 assists. Other contributers were Kaylene Kirk with 8 points and 2 rebounds. Cameryn Raber with 8 points, 3 assists, and 1 steal. Brooke Garner with 6 points and 3 rebounds. Addison Robbins with 5 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block. Emily Ream with 2 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 charge taken. Maddie Nordman with 2 points and 2 rebounds.

The Tigers are 0-2 on the season and will host Culver Academies this Saturday, Nov. 12th. JV will only be playing 2 quarters with a tip-off at 12:00 with Varsity to follow.
