Lady Apache Defense To Much For Mississinewa
The Lady Apaches used a big offensive first quarter and a great defensive effort in the middle two quarters to build a 25 point lead as they moved to 2-0 with a 56-36 win over Mississinewa.
Wabash poured in 19 first quarter points and then turned around and gave up just 10 points in the middle quarters as they cruised to victory in the home opener.
Kierra Wilson had a big night to pace Wabash with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Rylee Yoakum and Kait Honeycutt chipped in 9 and 8 points while Libby Mattern added 8 rebounds.

The Lady Apache JV played their opening game on Thursday night at Coolman Gymnasium against Mississinewa and came away with a 29-22 victory.
Wabash was paced by Bryleigh Boggs who scored 22 points and had 6 steals. Kiana Jones added 5 points and 4 steals while Sammie Walter paced the Lady Apaches with 7 rebounds.
The JV will be back in action on Saturday against Marion at Bill Green Arena.
