Results from Huntington North for Tuesday, November 29th

The Lady Vikes went on the road Tuesday night and defeated a tough Bishop Luers team 45-30. The Lady Vikings jumped out to an early lead off baskets by Taylor Double. Luers battled back in a low scoring 1st quarter to tie the game at 7 each. During the 2nd quarter the Vikes defense stepped holding Luers to only 2 points. At halftime the Vikes had a 14-9 lead. In the 2nd half the Lady Vikes offense picked up. Taylor Double hit a pair of 3’s and Haiden Bailey closed the 3rd with a buzzer beater 3 pointer. Giving the Vikings a 29-16 lead. Gracie Fields lead the charge in the 4th with a pair of 2’s and Taylor Double went 6-6 from the free throw line. The win makes the Lady Vikes 4-1 (0-0) on the year. The next game is Friday night at home against conference foe Norwell.

The Lady Vikes JV team was defeated Tuesday night 27-35 by Bishop Luers. Next game Friday night at home against Norwell.

Lynnsey Degitz lead the team with 12 pts

Faith Minton and Julia Spitler each added 6 pts.

The Viking Swimmers hosted NE8 Conference foe, East Noble, tonight at the Parkview Huntington YMCA. Both teams came away with victories over the Knights; girls 90-80, boys 101-68. The girls are currently 2-0 also having defeated Bluffton two weeks ago, while the boys season officially opened up tonight being their first meet. Both teams will have a full week next week with meets on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The boys will also have the Norwell Invitational on Saturday.
