Southwood Wrestling Wins Thriller Over Elwood
The Southwood Knights Wresting TEAM worked hard, and came away with a 30-29 win over their guests from Elwood Wednesday.
Nolan Hiner moved up a weight earning a fall in 285 class. 106 Bryant Pattee, 113 Mason Shenefield, and 126 Brayden Folbrecht lost by falls but it was not for lack of effort. Elwood picked up a forfeit to lead 6-24. Then up a weight at 138 Hayden Jones earned a fall and followed by 145 Jamin Taylor who received a forfeit. Score 18-24. At 152 Logan Hiner wrestled Elwoods best and refused to be pinned losing by tech fall a key to our team victory. With the score 18-29 160 Devin Danzy and 170 Keaton Frieden both earned falls to secure the 1 point victory margin.
