Lady Apaches Suffer Road Loss At Valley

The Wabash Lady Apaches got off to a rough start on the road at Tippecanoe Valley and never recovered as they fell 67-29 in their TRC opener Saturday.

Wabash was outscored 27-8 in the opening period due to turnovers and some hot shooting from the Lady Vikings. The Lady Apaches never got it going offensively and had their lowest offensive output of the year.

Wabash, now 4-4,0-1 , was led by Rylee Yoakum with 7 points while Libby Mattern and Kierra Wilson added 6 each. Mattern also pulled down 7 rebounds.

Wabash will be back in action on Tuesday when the face Bluffton in Coolman Gymnasium. This game will also be the annual Teacher Appreciation Game.

The Lady Apache JV struggled to score on the road at Tipp Valley on Saturday night and fell 39-12. Wabash , now 4-3, shot just 11% from the field. Leading the Lady Apaches in scoring was Janika Stumbo with 5 points while Olivia Braun pulled down 7 rebounds.
