The Wabash 7th grade girls basketball team fell to Oak Hill 26-4 Wednesday.

The Wabash Lady Apaches hosted the Oak Hill Lady Eagles in the Coolman Gym. The Lady Eagles had many players with great talents and abilities. Their coach stated they have played travel basketball together for quite awhile now.

The Lady Apaches took this challenge on and knew what tasks had to be done on both sides of the ball. On the offense end, we had many shots but just couldn’t knock them in. On defense, we struggled in the first half to box out and rebound.

The second half came around and the Apaches came out stronger and more intense than before. They were boxing out and out rebounding the Lady Eagles. We played with great intensity and we were aggressive all second half. We knew the Eagles were getting tired but before we knew it, that final buzzer sounded.

We may have walked off the court tonight and sadly the scoreboard didn’t reflect in our favor – but there is no doubt the Apaches hustled, were aggressive, had great shots and played like a team! We are piecing together the puzzle and our time is coming! Stay tuned as we host Madison Grant on Monday, December 12th.
