The Lady Vikes went on the road to face NE8 conference opponent New Haven and picked up the win 54-18. The Vikes out scored New Haven 16-4 in the 1st quarter. Gracie Fields and Marissa Trout paced the Vikes with 21 pts and 20 pts respectively. The defense was key again in the victory holding New Haven to 2 pts in the 2nd quarter and only 6 pts in each the 3rd and 4th quarter. The next game is Saturday 10th at home against Marion. Tonight’s win makes the Vikes 6-2 (1-1) on the season. Senior All State Candidate Taylor Double (18.3 ppg)missed the game with an injury.

The Huntington North girls basketball team defeated Marion Saturday night 72-21. It was another night where the Lady Vikes defense set the tone early holding Marion to single digit points each quarter. Opposite of that the Vikes scored double digits each quarter but the 4th where they scored 9 points. It was a nice return to the lineup for Sr. Taylor Double scoring a game high 21 pts off the bench with only 8 shots. A lot of Lady Vikes got into the book as 9 out of 10 players who played scored. The win makes the Lady Vikes 7-2 (1-1) on the year. The next game is Wednesday night at Bishop Dwenger. JV at 6:00pm and varsity to follow.
