Results from Peru for Friday, January 6th

The Tigers welcomed the North Miami Warriors to Tig-Arena Friday night for a rescheduled TRC match-up and came out victorious with hard fought 58-53 win.

The Tigers came out of the gate slow offensively but kept themselves close in the first quarter with their defense and were trailing 12-6 after the first quarter. The second quarter the offense started heating up as the Tigers outscored the Warriors 16-8 to take a 2 point lead into halftime 22-20 and never relinquished the lead from there. Clutch free throws and timely shooting kept the Warriors come back attempts at bay as the Tigers closed out the game hitting 11 of 15 free throws to seal the victory. There were four Tigers in double digits in a very balanced offensive attack. The Tigers were lead by Addison Robbins with a career high 19 points. Emma Eldridge had 14 points. Cameryn Raber had 11 points. Brianna Bennett had 10 points and Brooklyn Garner had 4 points. The Tigers are now 6-9 on the season and 3-2 in the TRC. They are currently tied with 5 teams with 2 losses in the TRC for second place in the standings. The Tigers are back in action today at Tig-Arena welcoming the Delphi Oracles for a non-conference match-up. There will be a full JV game with Varsity to follow. JV tip-off is scheduled for noon with Varsity to follow.
