Manchester JH Girls Split With Edgewood

The Manchester junior high girls basketball teams split with Edgewood Thursday.

The 7th grade Lady Squires played hard on tired legs tonight against Edgewood, but came up short in the end 35-11. This was the 3rd consecutive night with a game and only 7 players on the team, but the girls didn’t complain and fought until the final horn sounded.

The 8th grade girls defeated Edgewood 44-39

The 8th grade Lady Squires were running on fumes tonight against Edgewood on the 3rd consecutive day with a game, but they showed extreme grittiness pulling out the win! The Squires were ahead by 15 points at halftime, but Edgewood came out on fire nailing five 3’s in the second half. The girls were poised and made some clutch baskets down the stretch to seal the victory.
