Results from Maconaquah for Thursday, January 19th

Tonight the Lady Braves honored their two senior players and manager. The Lady Braves picked up a TRC win 43-36. Seniors Courtney Stoll and Madi Wibel played a good game defensively and help Whitko’s center to just 2 points. Miranda Stoll led all scores with 20 points and Bailey Carson had 13 points. Shaelyn Powell put together a great 2nd half defensively with steals and deflections and had 7 points all in the 2nd half.

The Maconaquah Braves “A” team played their last home game of the season, loosing to a very good Oak Hill team 54-24.

Scoring for the Braves were Levi Merritt with 8, Colt Myers with 7, Evan Zeiser with 5, and Jaxon Cole with 4.

The “A” team falls to 8-6 on the season.

The “B” team lost 24-10. Scorers included Chase Million with 5, Peyton White with 3, and Grayson Caldwell with 2.

The “B” team falls to 4-7 on the season.

The Braves are back in action on January 25 at Tri-Central. The “A” game starts at 6pm with a “B” game to follow.

The 7th grade lady Braves fell short to Northwesrern 21-12. Leading the Braves was Emma Morris with 5 points, Kaylee Sharp 4 points, Jozilynn Crowe 2 points, and Jaeylnn Rodriguez with one point. Brylee Koors, Nevaeh Kaiser, Nevaeh Anderson, Brooklyn Gamble, Meylah Flowers, Isabel Fruth, and Alexis Lloyd all helped with rebounds and playing amazing defense. The lady Braves travel to North Miami for the Miami County tournament. First round they will play against the Warriors with tip off at 9:00 am. Great game lady Braves.

The Lady Braves improved to 4-0 on the season by defeating Northwesten 42-4 on the back of an aggressive half court man defense and balanced scoring attack. The Braves had everyone score tonight lead by Ireland Kile with 12, Aubrey Stoll with 9, Kasey Murry with 8, Aubrey Kaiser had 7, Delaney Betzner with 3, Addie Yocum 2 and Ani Osornio with 1. The Lady Braves are back in action Saturday at 10:15 in the Miami County Tournament at North Miami where they will matchup with the home Warriors.
