The Manchester junior high girls basketball teams split with Southwood Thursday.

Southwood won the 7th grade game 39-21

The Lady Knights picked up the pressure on defense in the second quarter, which they won 18-2 and headed into halftime with a 24-6 lead. The defensive pressure lead to 19 team steals. Ryleigh Pulley and Paige Nelson lead the defensive charge with (9) & (5) steals respectively. Kaley Denney and Rya Morgan both played tough defense under the basket. Alivia Pershing (16) and Ella Chambers (12) paced the Knights in scoring.

The Lady Knights move to 3-1 on the season. They are back in action next Tuesday, January 24 at Northfield.
