Northfield Wins JH Battle Over Southwood


The Northfield junior high girls took two games from Southwood Tuesday.

Lady Norse 7th grade defeated Southwood 27-8 to improve their record to 9-4. Norse were able to break away in second half thanks to solid perimeter shooting knocking down 4-3 pointers.

The Lady Knights played a good tough first half which saw them down 7-6. The second half was a different story as they struggled to move the ball on offense and defensive pressure was not there in the 2nd half. The Lady Knights are now 3-2 on the season and get back into action tomorrow night at the Castle vs Oak Hill.

Lady Norse 8th Grade defeated Southwood 34-26. A very solid 4th quarter was the difference for the Norse breaking the Southwood press successfully and making all 6 free throws down the stretch. Norse record now stands at 4-9.
