Lady Apaches Hang On At Whitko
The Wabash Lady Apaches went on the road Friday night and hung on for a 62-60 win at Whitko.
The teams were tied 17-17 after 1 qt and Wabash led 30-28 at the half. The Lady Apaches were up 4 after 3 quarters and would go up by as much as 9 before Whitko would make a late run.
Wabash placed three ladies in double figures with Libby Mattern 20, Kait Honeycutt 14 and Rylee Yoakum with 12. Jade Stumbo led the squad in rebounds with 7, while Yoakum dished out 4 assists and Honeycutt snared 5 steals.
The Lady Apaches, now 14-7, 5-3 , will end the regular season with a varsity only game at Peru on Saturday at 5:00.
