Lady Squires Fall In Sectional Opener
The Manchester Lady Squires fell in their sectional opener 49-35 to Bluffton Tuesday.
A strong offensive night for the Lady Tigers combined with a low shooting percentage from the Squires led to a 49-35 loss.
The Squires came out with much tougher defense tonight, but could not capitalize on their offensive opportunities. The Lady Squires continued to play hard despite the deficit.
Peyton Ream led the Squires on both sides of the floor with 11 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 5 steals. Brookelynn Buzzard added 9 points and an assist. Gracie Lauer had 5 points, 9 rebounds, and a steal. Hadley West had 5 points, 3 rebounds, and an assist. Aliala Atienza and Molly Schannep each had 2 points. Olivia Neal added a free throw.
