Oak Hill High School Boys Varsity Basketball beat Delta High School 49-41

The Golden defeated A really good Delta Eagles team 49 to 41 tonight, on senior night! With that win the Eagles finished the season undefeated at home! Also with that win, the Eagles clinched the best record in school history, sitting at 20-2 entering sectional play! If you weren’t there tonight, you missed a great game with a great crowd, and a great atmosphere! It was a close game throughout between two of the top teams in the state in 3A, and the Eagle proud showed up to cheer on their team and their seniors at home one last time this season! It was a back-and-forth slugfest that saw the golden eagles up six after the first quarter but then down to at half time. After 3 quarters the golden eagles found themselves down four. Then the seniors were talking on the bench in the fourth quarter and told everyone they have one more quarter to play let’s make it our quarter, and they did just that outscoring Delta 16 to 8 in that quarter to win by eight points going away! Scoring for the Golden Eagles: Landon Biegel with 17, Caleb Kroll and Ty Fagan with 14 each, and Matthew Strange and Levi Trexler with 2 each.It was a great team victory with a lot of different guy stepping up at the right times throughout the game! Come root on the Golden Eagles at Peru Friday night when they take on the winner of the Tuesday night game between Mississinewa and Peru.
