Maconaquah High School Varsity Baseball beat Lewis Cass Jr-Sr High School 10-7

The Braves and Kings battled back and forth throughout the game with Maconaquah able to pull out the victory in the end. MJ Ellis is pitched 5 innings giving up 4 runs (1 earned) and scattering 7 hits. Bennett Isenburg pitched in relief and recoreded the win. He gave up 3 runs (0 earned) in route to his first victory.

The Braves were led at the plate by Kaleb Shelton who had two hits and two RBI.

Trace Armstrong, Jackson Collins, Jacob Isley, and MJ Ellis also had hits for the Braves.

Braxton Birner and Caiden Richards helped the Braves play good defense in the 7th to secure the win.

The Braves play a double header at home vs Faith Christian at home on Saturday.

Maconaquah High School Varsity Baseball beat Faith Christian (DH) 17-0

The Braves hit the ball well in game 1 to win 17-0. Bennett Isenburg, Jordan Ellis, Chirstian Stuber, Brandon Smitley, Jackson Collins, Caiden Richards, Haydon Chance, Jackson Garber, and Fuddy Kile all collected hits for the Braves.

Braxton Birner threw three shut out innings for the win.

Maconaquah High School Varsity Baseball beat Faith Christian School 17-7

The Braves trailed 7-0 after two innings but came to life in the middle innings to complete the comeback win. Trace Armstrong hit a big home run for the Braves to seal the win. Jacob Isley, Caiden Richards, Brandon Smitley, Jackson Collins, Kaleb Shelton, Haydon Chance, and Bennett Isenburg all collected hits during the game.

Haydon Chance pitched three solid innings for the Braves and Trace Armstrong pitched in refief to earn the win.

Maconaquah High School Varsity Softball falls to Hamilton Heights High School 2-1

Saturday Maconaquah had their Home opener versus Hamilton Heights falling 2 to 1 in a close game.

Offensively Amaya Rader and Blayklee Buman lead the Braves. Rader went 2 for 3 and scored the Braves only run. Buman went 3 for 3. Freshman Hailey Scarlet added a hit, and Junior Sydney Barnes hit the RBI.

Buman was in the circle for the Braves whirling 11 strikeouts, no walks, allowing 4 hits, and no earned runs.

Coach Carson comments…”Defensively we held a good hitting team to only two runs. Buman pitched a great game. We made a few mistakes, however our two errors were aggresive mistakes trying to make tough plays. Offensively we took a step forward following our Eastern opener. The girls are looking more comfortable in the batters box, but we still have a ways to go. “
