Wabash MS Holds Off Whitko

Wabash MS Apaches built a six-run lead in the fifth inning and then held off Whitko’s charge for a 7-5 victory on Tuesday.

Whitko scored four runs in the failed comeback on a error in the sixth, a single by #5 in the sixth, a walk by #7 in the sixth, and a single by #14 in the seventh.

Whitko scored three runs in the sixth inning, but Wabash MS Apaches still managed to pull out the victory. #14, #5, and #7 all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Wabash MS Apaches notched three runs in the fifth inning. Clay Shepler and Jacob White powered the big inning with RBIs.

Shepler got the win for Wabash MS Apaches. Shepler allowed two hits and three runs over five and a third innings, striking out nine. Kallen Gidley and Harrison Phillipy entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

7 took the loss for Whitko. The hurler allowed two hits and three runs over three innings, striking out five.

Wabash MS Apaches smacked one home run on the day. White had a long ball in the fifth inning.

Wabash MS Apaches tallied eight hits. Quinn Campbell, Randy Boring, and Haiden McWhirt all collected multiple hits for Wabash MS Apaches. McWhirt, Boring, and Campbell each managed two hits to lead Wabash MS Apaches.
