Northfield Golf Fires Season Best

The Northfield golf team defeated Marion 163-248 Thursday.

The Norsemen were led by Tyson Baer and Easton Shaw with a pair of 38’s to share medalist honors on the evening. Tristan Hoffman took the second best score in the field with 43 and Cash Cartwright and Dylan Ross rounded out with a pair of 44’s. Tough course conditions with high winds did not sway the Norsemen as 163 would top a season best 9-hole team score.

Plenty of great golf also remained to be seen, Freshmen Gavin Brainard and Ryder Schram hauled in a 45 and 46 through 9 holes to finish just below the top 4.

Northfield will be back in action this Saturday to play in their first 18 hole Invite of the year at Sycamore for a 9 am start.
