Norse Third/Squires Fifth At Manchester Golf Invite
The Manchester and Northfield golf teams played in the Manchester Invitational Saturday at Sycamore Golf Course.
Northfield finished third and Manchester fifth.
Northfield finished 3rd at Sycamore on Saturday behind 1st place Northridge with an astounding 299 followed by a Tipp Valley score of 310. The Norse finished with a 313 to take sole 3rd place of the 9 competing schools. Tyson Baer was awarded top 5 medalist honors with a score of 75. Cash Cartwright came in with a 78, followed by Easton Shaw 79, Dylan Ross 81, and Tristan Hoffman with an 87. Ross would finish his day with a personal best on 18 holes. Despite coming in 3rd, the Norsemen’s score of 313 shatters their best as a team dating back to last year by 9 strokes!
The Manchester Squires hosted 8 other teams from around the region this Saturday for the Manchester Invititational at Sycamore Golf Club. Winning the invitational with a solid team score of 299 was Northridge High School. Overall medalist for the tournament was Tipp Valley senior Greg Miller with a 6-under 66.
