Squires Fall At Columbia City

The Manchester baseball team fell to Columbia City 4-3 Friday.

Manchester did not score until the 5th inning when they tied up the game 1-1. The Eagles answered in the bottom half of the 5th to take the lead 2-1. The Squires went into the 7th inning down 2-1; however, they rallied in the top half of the inning to take the lead 3-2 on Freshman Davin Hendrix’s 2 RBI single. The Squires were one out away from victory when the Eagles completed the walk-off win.

The Squires outhit the Eagles 7-4; however, the Squires also committed 5 errors. The team dropped to 5-5 on the season with the loss. The team continues to compete every single game. The Squires will be back in action on Saturday as they host Churubusco.
