Whitko Wildcats Grabs Lead in Fifth Inning for Victory Over North Miami

Whitko Wildcats snagged a late lead and defeated North Miami 7-2 on Wednesday. The game was tied at two with Whitko Wildcats batting in the top of the fifth when Logan Hoffman singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

North Miami opened up scoring in the second inning. North Miami scored two runs when Reid Johnson doubled.

In the top of the third inning, Whitko Wildcats tied things up at two when Riley Harman tripled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

Max Platt was credited with the victory for Whitko Wildcats. The pitcher allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking one.

Whitko Wildcats tallied eight hits on the day. Harman and Isaiah Cripe all had multiple hits for Whitko Wildcats. Cripe and Harman each collected two hits to lead Whitko Wildcats. Whitko Wildcats didn’t commit a single error in the field. David Ousley had the most chances in the field with eight.

Softball lost to North Miami 10-0 in 6 innings. The Lady Wildcats started off strong but couldn’t hold the Warriors off allowing 10 hits and committing 5 errors. Addie Garr gets the loss on the mound. Kaylee Adkins and Cassidy Skinner recorded the only hits.
