Northfield Golf Defeats Wabash/Maconaquah

The Northfield golf team defeated Wabash and Maconaquah Friday.

Easton Shaw led the way for the Norsemen with a 38 to take overall medalist. Shaw carded 2 birdies on the night and has now finished with a sub 40 round in 5 matches this season. Tyson Baer followed right behind with a 39 to take second in the field. Cash Cartwright came in next with a 42, and Tristan Hoffman finished his 9 with a 43. Hoffman would birdie the 5th hole to complete the 162 total for the Norsemen victory. Dylan Ross finished with a 47.

Gavin Brainard and Ryder Schram would both grind out a pair of 50’s to top all three schools in the JV match. Reid Haupert would come in next with a 57, followed by Hank Gray with 59. Luke Haupert finished with 61 to help the Norse take first over Wabash and Maconaquah with a 216.

The Norsemen will look to carry their momentum into Saturday as they host The Jeremy Cole Memorial Invitational for an 8:30 am shotgun start at Honeywell Golf Course.
