Baer Shoots Even Par To Lead Norse

The Northfield golf team defeated Bluffton 162-174 Wednesday.

Tyson Baer led the Norse with a score of 36 to shoot even on the front 9. Baer would bogey the 6th and birdie the 8th to complete the exceptional round with the rest all pars. Cash Cartwright and Easton Shaw both came in with a pair of 41’s followed by Dylan Ross with a 44. Tristan Hoffman came in right behind with a 45.

The Northfield JV also came home with a victory scoring a 201 as a team to beat Bluffton’s 219. Gavin Brainard finished his 9 with a 43 to lead the field followed by Ryder Schram with a 46. The Freshman duo continues to play solid golf and have both shot in the 40s four or more times on the season. Aden Eads shot 54, followed by Hank Gray with a 56. The Haupert brothers finished with 56(Luke) and 61(Reid). Rounded out with Jordan Kinsey at 62.

The Norsemen will look to carry momentum into Saturday as they play for a Conference Title at Rozella Ford on Saturday.
