Maconaquah Softball Hosts Rochester on Middle School Softball Night

Maconaquah (7-10) celebrates their Middle School Program Wendesday night at home in a contest versus visiting Rochester Zebras (11-4). The Zebras prevail after 7 innings.

After the first inning Maconaquah had a 2 to 1 via a double by Shaela Brazzel followed by a RBI single from Bailey Carson.

However Maconaquah cannot hold the high powered offense of the Zebras, Ultimately falling 9-3.

The Braves offensively were lead by Shaela Brazzel, and Bailey Carson who each went 2-4, 1 RBI and 1 run scored. Amaya Rader drew 3 walks in 4 at bats, and Haylee Scarlett drew 2 in 4 at bats. Olivia Gross pinched hit for the last RBI.

Coach Thoughts…”We expected a high scoring game from Rochester. They have 10 run ruled every team they have beaten. For the most part we held them back only allowing on big inning. Our outfield had their best game this year, which is a huge positive for us. Offensively we had our chances, we stranded 8 runners on base. The team had a great vibe tonight. They stayed positive when were down, and continued to fight. We hate to lose a conference game, but there were many positives as we prepare for a sectional run later this month.”

Maconaquah travels to Elwood Friday at 530.
