Squires Win In Nine Innings At Whitko

The Manchester baseball team defeated Whitko 4-3 in 9 innings Monday.

Entering the game the Wildcats were 15-4. The Squires were able to give them their 5th loss of the season. Manchester played their second 9 inning game in two weeks. This time they were able to score in the 9th inning and hold the home team scoreless in the bottom half of the 9th.

Evan Martynowicz started on the mound for the Squires. He went 6 innings and had 5 Ks while giving up two earned runs. Gavin Martin came in and pitched the last 3 innings to secure the win. Ethan Hendrix and Evan Martynowicz each had 3 hits for the Squires. Garrett Sites and Teegan Snyder added hits as well. The Squires travel to beautiful Parkview field Tuesday to face off against Wawasee under the lights.
