The Wabash Middle School soccer team fell to Tippecanoe Valley 8-0 Monday.

Wabash faced off against Tippecanoe Valley in its second match up of the season. The first half revealed much stronger offensive pressure from the Apaches, led by Landon Schuler, Hope Fritter with a supporting midfield of Maddox Mindach, Ember Christle, Levin Indrutz, and Colleena Meadows. Wabash had multiple looks at the goal but were unable to find the net. Wabash held the Vikings scoreless thanks to a solid defensive effort from Alyssa Sheridan, John Harris, Lucas Coffman, and Brian Palmer. Owen Honeycutt only saw the ball a handful of times in the first half, racking up 6 saves on the night. With Tipp Valley feeling the pressure, a lineup change forced the Apaches on their heels in the second half, creating more scoring opportunities for the Vikings. Despite an impressive goalkeeping debuts by Landon Schuler, Wabash fell to Tipp Valley 8-0. Assisting the Apaches in their efforts tonight were defenders Brenda Alspach, Owen Honeycutt, Javier Hernandez, Gracie Bearman, Emma Coffman, Alyssa Rose, and Olivia Wilkin. The midfield line changed up to include Landen Fisher, Taylin Fager, Alivia Cole, and Trixie Thomas. Jaxson Shannon also provided some much needed offensive help toward the end of the game. Despite a winless season, the Apaches showed tremendous fortitude and perseverance when up against skilled opponents. This will serve them well going into the 2024 season.
