Norse Golf Shoots Season Best At Wabash Invite
The Northfield golf team won the Wabash Invite Saturday with Southwood placing fifth.
The Norse playing in familar territory held nothing back as they shot their season best 309 to grab their third 18 hole tournament victory this year.
Northfield took 3 out of the top 5 medalists awards among the 10 schools. Tyson Baer placed 1st overall with a 74 and Cash Cartwright taking second by himself witha 75. Easton Shaw would take 4th overall with a 78 to continue the overload of blue and gray atop the leaderboard. Dylan Ross would seal the 309 with his personal best 82 as well as placing 7th overall. Tristan Hoffman left a few putts out there but finished strong with a modest 89 that would have still resulted in marginal victory if used for the Norsemen.
Northfield will enter Sectional play starting on Friday June 2nd at Rozella Ford and look to compete for the top 3 schools in order to move on to Regional.
