Norse Golf Headed To Regional
Northfield Boys Golf continues their poetic season finishing with a 318 for 2nd place and good enough to advance to Regional next Thursday.
1A Northfield has only ever made it out of Sectional as a team once in school history before today.(2016, 3rd place).
Warsaw would host and take 1st place on their home turf. However, Tyson Baer showed no remorse and won overall medalist with a 71(+1). Baer dominated the field of heavy competition by 6 strokes with Warsaw’s best carding a 77. Cash Cartwright would take 3rd place overall with a 78. The Northfield Senior stepped up big with his best Sectional score for his career and would have still advanced individually had the team not advanced.
The Norsemen rallied together for a total team effort as Easton Shaw finished with 84, Tristan Hoffman 85, and Dylan Ross 88. The Norse edged Culver Military Academy by just 1 stroke to hold on to 2nd place.
Northfield will travel to Stonehenge for Regionals on Thursday June 8th for an 8:00 start.
