Game 1: Wabash Hardware Giants @ Inguard A’s

Recap: The Wabash Hardware Giants defeated the Inguard A’s 6-2 in 6 innings Wednesday night. Luke Kaufman hit a grand slam and Jake Sailors added an inside the park solo home run to lead the Giants at the plate. Quinton Siders, Micah Siders, Maverick Mattern, and Barrett Jones all singled for the Giants. Micah Siders started on the mound and picked up the win allowing 2 runs on 5 hits while striking out 9 in 4 and 1/3 innings. Luke Kaufman came on in relief and earned the save. Cruz Long went 2 for 2 to lead the A’s at the plate. Ryker McKillip doubled and Blake Ashba had an RBI double for the A’s. Weston Rice singled for the A’s. Cruz Long started for the A’s and struck out 10 in 4 and 2/3 innings. The Giants will take on the Yankees Friday night in the Championship game while the A’s have been eliminated from the tournament.
