Wabash Boys Soccer played both Oak Hill and Eastbrook Saturday in a season-opening jamboree.

A Jamboree consists of 30-minute scrimmages among 4 schools. Mississinewa was the fourth school involved.

Varsity vs Oak Hill High School Wabash gave up 2 goals to Oak Hill in the first session. Drew Guenin-Hodson recorded some terrific saves in his first start in goal. Forward Max Carpenter generated an excellent scoring chance for the Apaches, but Wabash came up empty in the first round.

Varsity vs Eastbrook High School In the last session of the day, Wabash had a balanced match that ended 1-1. Will Galley and Troy Guenin-Hodson combined for several promising chances. But it was Max Carpenter who put in a goal for the Apaches on a shot from about 18 yards out. Dylan Ngyuen had a non-goalie save for the defense and new-comer Derek Reed had a standout performance in the outside back position.

Wabash kicks off thier season on Saturday, August 19th against TRC foe Maconaquah.
