Northfield JH Football Throws Shut Out At Maconaquah
The JH Norse Football team beat the Maconaquah Braves with a score of 32-0 Tuesday.
The day was driven by big plays, including an 80 us kick off return for a touchdown by Nathan Payne, a scoop-and-score by Kolton Prus, and a 40 yard Punt return by Briggs Baker for a touchdown. Other contributions were: a 40 yard touchdown by Ksen Frank, a pair of interceptions by Cooper Good and Logan Holmes, and a punt block by Ean Selleck.
The defensive effort for the day included 25 tackles, 11 for a loss. Leading the day was Cody Holmes with 7, Kasen Frank with 5.5, and Josh Lara Manchaca with 4. Breckin Sanders added a tackle for a safety and 2 points.
The Norse next travel to Wabash on Tuesday August 29 to face the Apaches.
