The Wabash boys soccer team fell to Tippecanoe Valley 4-1 Tuesday.

Wabash played a pretty even match against Valley but came out on the losing end due to a handful of defensive mistakes. Tippy got on the board early after capitalizing on a loose ball in the box to go up 1-0. Troy Guenin-Hodson got the equalizer with a shot from distance that beat the keeper just before halftime. Will Galley got the assist.

Wabash came out in the second half with a more aggressive attitude and put together some nice passing combos to threaten the Valley goal. But a penalty kick early in the half set the tone and saw Valley go up 2-1. Wabash had their own penalty kick and a chance to cut the lead but the kick went wide. Valley snagged two additional goals to seal the game.
This game saw another set of nice defensive performances by Derek Reed and Jose Robles. Owen Honeycutt had a good outing on defense and in the midfield. Isaac Byers collected 15 saves. Guenin-Hodson and Galley anchored the midfield all night.
Wabash faces Manchester Thursday night at LH Carpenter field in the Wabash County Derby.
