Girls Golf drops close 4-way match at Chippendale

The Tigers traveled to Chippendale on Wednesday to take on Eastern, Western, and Southwood. The match was close throughout with Eastern taking the win at 195, followed by Southwood at 209, Western at 210, and Peru at 211. Piercey Dyer birdied her final three holes to tie Western’s Elizabeth Mercer for medalist at 37. Bailee Beattie fired a personal best round of 57, followed by Raina Nero with 58, Maddie Caldwell with 59, and Lainey Wouster with 60.

Peru is in action again on Saturday in the CGA Invite at Culver Academy. The tournament is scheduled to start at 10:00.

Tigers Sweep Berries to Remain Undefeated

The Tigers traveled to Logansport Wednesday and swept the rival Berries 5-0.

Peru’s Ian Potts won the point at #1 singles 6-4, 6-0.

Jayleb Walsh secured the #2 singles point for Peru with a 6-1, 6-2 vicory, and Jacob Boswell won the #3 singles spot 7-6, 6-2.

The #1 doubles duo of Jackson Boswell and Lucas Musser won 6-2, 6-4.

Peru’s J.P. Pallante and Karter Schwartz split sets 6-4, 4-6 and took the tiebreaker 11-9 to win the #2 doubles spot.

Peru’s William Rodriguez and Landon Steele both won their JV singles matches 8-4; Rogriguez and Steele also combined to win the JV doubles match 8-4.

Dane Ray also played two JV singles mathches for Peru losing both by scores of 1-8 and 3-8.

The Tigers continue play at Thrush Courts on Thursday against TRC opponent Rocheseter.

Varsity Volleyball falls to Tri-Central 3 – 0

Varsity Tigers fell to Tri-Central Wednesday night 19-25 three times. Sophomore Addison Butt led the team with 9 service points, 4 aces, and 7 assists. The Tigers will face Rochester for a conference match on Thursday with JV starting at 6:00pm.
