VolleyKnights Roll Past Oak Hill

The Southwood volleyball team defeated Oak Hill 25-12, 25-17, 25-13 Thursday.

The Lady Knights would set the tone early, grabbing a 7-0 lead in the first set. Quinn Clausen and Shania Rhamy each had multiple kills. Southwood would never be threatened in the match, winning 25-12.

Another good start in the second set gave Southwood a 6-1 lead with Clausen and Rhamy once again controlling the net. The Knights would build their lead 15-7 before Oak Hill scored five straight to make it 15-12. Grace Drake would then take over up front while Carly Whitesel was serving aces to run away from the Eagles for the 25-17 win.

Drake would dominate the net early in the third set as the Knights jumped out to an 11-4 lead. Hali Pershing would join Drake with a couple kills while the back row dug up most everything in the 25-13 win.
