Tigers Suffer First Defeat Against Culver Academy

The Tigers traveled to Culver Academy on Wednesday and suffered their first defeat of the season 0-5.

1 Singles Ian Potts lost 0-6, 1-6.

2 Singles Jayleb Walsh lost 0-6, 0-6

3 Singles Jacob Boswell lost in three sets 6-2, 3-6, 3-6.

1 Doubles Jackson Rogers and Jackson Boswell lost 2-6, 1-6.

2 Doubles J.P. Pallante and Lucas Musser lost 2-6, 2-6.

Peru was winless on the JV side as well with William Rodriguez, Karter Schwartz and Landon Steele suffering losses.

The Tigers are next in action against Northwestern on Thursday.

Girls Varsity Golf finishes 3rd place

The Tigers were at Dykeman Park on Wednesday against Logansport and Maconaquah. Peru shot 208, Logansport 185, and Maconaquah fired a team score of 168 to win the match. Piercey Dyer led Peru with a round of 40. Other scores for Peru were Raina Nero with 53, Lainey Wouster with 55, Maddie Caldwell with a personal best 55, Bailee Beattie with 60, and Annie Dolly with 61.

Peru hosts the TRC Tournament this Saturday at Round Barn Golf Club in Rochester. The tournament is scheduled to begin at 2:00.
