The Northfield cross country teams were host to Southwood, Oak Hill, Huntington Riverview and Lakeland Christian Thursday.
Moving to 5-0 on the season, the Lady Harriers took 5 of the top 9 places and won the meet. Kaleigh Rice captured her 4th individual championship of the season, Teagan Baer, 5th, Ali Copeland, 6th, Addi Hawkens, 8th, Andrea Widemon, 9th, Haley Bucher, 24th, Sheila Smith, 26th, and Izzy See, 29th. The Lady Norse will face their toughest test of the season on Saturday at the South Adams Invitational.
Coming up just short, the Norse finished 2nd by 1 point to Huntington Riverview. Bode Sorg once again led the way as individual champion. Preston Moore, 5th, Nate Hodson, 6th, Hudson Haupert, 10th, Maesyn Jones, 20th, Gavin Lester, 23rd, and Bentley Sutterby, 26th.
As a team, Southwood placed fourth at the Northfield/Oak Hill/Riverview/Lakeland Christian meet on Thursday.
Individually, Paige Nelson finished 3rd with a career record of 12:33. Ava Stouffer finished 13th with a time of 14:05. Ellie Simpson finished 27th with a time of 17:28. Ambry Strickler finished 30th with a time of 18:15. Rayli Pershing finished 31st with a time of 18:26. Dallis Kroft finished 32nd, also with a time of 18:26.
