Lady Kings Defeat Manchester, 55-31
Our Lady Kings improve to 2-0 with a convincing 55-31 victory over a talented and experience Manchester squad. The Kings also earn their first TRC victory on the evening. In the 2nd game in a row, every player on the roster was able to score and add to the total, with Anna Hedrick leading all scorers with 13 points. Aftin Griffin scored 10 points. Myie Sipe 9 points hitting a game high 3 three pointers. Kinsey Mennen also added 9 points to the total. Heta Kosunen and Laney Davis added 5 points while Kylie Logan and Ava Huber both chipped in 1. Faith Helvie also added 2 points.
The Lady Kings return to the floor Saturday night as they travel to Tri-Central.
Lady King Junior Varsity Beats Manchester, 41-23
Our JV earn their first conference victory as they improve to 2-0 (1-0 in the TRC) with a 41-23 victory over the Squires. Laura Nebrera led all scorers with 15 points. Laney Davis earned her 12 points while Ava Hubner scored 7 in just 3 quarters of play as they had to split time with varsity quarters. Lexi Gotshall pitched in 4 points, Payton Harrison earned 2, and Bianca Panmei hit a free throw to round out the scoring.
Our JV head to Tri-Central Saturday night. Saturday they will play just 2 quarters, due to limited numbers at Tri-Central.
