Girls Varsity Basketball falls to Caston Jr. Sr. 60 – 27
The Tigers traveled to Caston to take on the Lady Comets in a non-conference matchup Tuesday night. The Tigers struggled all night to handle the pressure applied by the Caston defense and coupled that with shooting 24% as a team to fall to the Comets 60-27. Leading the Tiger offense for the night was Maliyah Dunn with 7 points and 1 rebound. Kaylene Kirk had 6 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 blocked shot. Madalyn Gatliff had 4 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocked shots. Addison Robbins had 3 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal. Jacey Boswell had 3 points. Brooklyn Garner had 2 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 steal. Mareiona Mason had 2 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, and 1 blocked shot. Peyton Wideman had 2 rebounds and 1 steal. Emmy Thompson had 1 rebound and 2 assists. The Tigers are now 0-3 on the season. The Tigers welcome the Kokomo Wildcats to Tig-Arena Thursday night for another non-conference matchup. JV is scheduled to tip at 6:15 with Varsity to follow.
