The Wabash Lady Apaches stunned 2A, #2 Lapel Tuesday 70-65 at Lapel.

The Lady Apaches got off to a slow start, but then settled in and pulled off the big upset.

Trailing 11-2 Wabash would go on to outscore the hosts 16-7 the rest of the 1st and the game was all tied up at 18-18 after a quarter. The Lady Apaches would take a 41-32 lead before Lapel would hit 3 straight 3 pointers including a buzzer beater to tie the game at 41-41 at the half. The game would remain tied at 54-54 after 3 quarters of play. The Lady Apaches would then win the fourth quarter 16-11 to pull out the 70-65 win.

Wabash was led by Bryleigh Boggs with 25 points and 11 rebounds, Kait Honeycutt with 21 points and 5 assists, and Kierra Wilson with 5 assists and 4 steals. Eight girls scored for the Lady Apaches in the upset.
