Lady Squires Shock Huntington North

A phenomenal team effort led the Lady Squires over Huntington North tonight 68-61 Tuesday.

After a slow start defensively in the first quarter, the ladies picked up the energy in the second quarter and went into halftime down 28-30. To start the second half, the ladies dug themselves a 7 point hole, but remained composed and fought back outscoring the Lady Vikings 24-10 in the 4th quarter. Brookelynn and Emma hit a couple of big shots, while Peyton, Brookelynn, and Hadley knocked down some big free throws to help seal the game.

Emma Walker led the Lady Squires with a career-high of 24 points, along with 9 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 assist. Brookelynn Buzzard had a career high of 8 assists along with her 18 points and 3 rebounds. Gracie Lauer had 12 points and 9 rebounds. Other scorers included Peyton Ream (6), Kim Schroll (4), Ava Sautter (3), and Hadley West (1).
