Girls Varsity Basketball beats North Miami 46 – 31

In a physical battle from start to finish, the Lady Kings found ways to keep their winning efforts going with a 46-31 victory over the North Miami Warriors. Kinsey Mennen led the charge producing another huge game for the Kings scoring a game high 13 points, pulling down a game high 7 rebounds, and having a game high 4 blocks. Aftin Griffin, again had another night in double digits, putting up 12 points as she went 6 for 8 from the free throw line. Other scorers for the Kings were Anna Hedrick, Faith Helvie, and Mylie Sipe with 5 points each. Heta Kosunen added 4 points to the total as she also earned a team high 3 steals. Kylie Logan was also able to add 2 point to the total.

The Lady Kings improve to 15-2 on the season and 5-0 in the conference. The Kings face the Rochester Zebras on Saturday who are currently in 2nd place in the conference with a 5-1 record.

Lewis Cass Lady Kings Secure Win in Limited 2-Quarter Clash Against North Miami Lady Warriors

In a brief yet decisive matchup against the North Miami Lady Warriors, the Lewis Cass Lady Kings emerged victorious with a final score of 20-8. The two-quarter game showcased the Lady Kings’ efficiency on the court.

Leading the scoring charge was Laney Davis with 8 points, followed by Laura Nebrera with 6 points. Kylie Logan and Lexi Gotshall contributed 3 points each, underscoring the Lady Kings’ collective offensive efforts.

The limited game time did not diminish the Lady Kings’ effectiveness, as they demonstrated their ability to control the pace and secure a comfortable lead against their opponents.

Cass Wrestling Makes a Comeback to Defeat Peru

After falling behind 24-0, Cass came back to defeat Peru 42-36. The big matches of the night were Eli Martin defeating Keaton Ousley by fall and Kamaron Hall finishing off the Tigers with a pin in the final match of the night.
