Two Norse Lady Wrestlers Are Top 8 In State

Northfield again made history for the school’s Girls Wrestling Program Friday by placing two wrestlers in the top 8 of the State! Juniors Ella Gahl and Lindsey Dill competed in Indiana High School Girls Wrestling State Finals, hosting 242 girls from 118 teams at the Kokomo Memorial Gym.

Ella Gahl placed 3rd in the 130lbs weigh class, losing in the semifinals to her opponent in last year’s state finals at 132lbs, and Ella’s only other loss since 2022, Senior Kyra Tomlinson of Noblesville, in a highly close match with a final score of 5-4. Ella finished her season with a 29-1 record. Outstanding Season Ella!

Lindsey placed 8th in the 140lbs weight class, significantly improving from 2023, where she qualified for the state finals; however, they placed in the top eight. Lindsey finished her season 20-8. Excellent season, Lindsey!
