Norse JH Girls Split With Oak Hill

The Northfield girls 7th grade defeated Oak Hill 36-25 Monday.

The Norse did a great job bringing energy to the game and played well as a team. The Norse forced many Oak Hill turnovers in the first half by playing great defense. Gemma Haupert led the way with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals. Kassidy Cartwright had a fantastic game adding 8 points for the Norse with 2 three pointers along with 1 rebound and 1 steal. Miranda Meyer 5 points, 2 rebounds. Avery Custer had 3 points, 2 rebounds. Tenley Kuhn rounded out the scoring with 2 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals. Vivian Rife had 2 rebounds and 1 steal.

The Lady Norse lost a tough game last night to a solid Oak Hill team 28-27. Norse dug themselves a hole early being down 16-4 after 1 quarter and trailed 18-7 at half. They had a valiant effort in 2nd half coming all the way back and actually having a 1 point lead with 20 seconds left. Lady Norse are now 6-1 and play Maconaquah Tuesday night 1/16 at Northfield.
