Manchester JH Girls Sweep Whitko

The Manchester girls junior high basketball teams won a pair of games over Whitko Wednesday.

Girls JH 7th Basketball beats Whitko Middle School 29 – 12

The 7th grade Lady Squires hit the road to take on the Whitko Wildcats. The Squires jumped out to a quick 16-2 advantage in the first quarter and then cruised to victory. The girls were able to work on executing our half court offense and got better as the game moved on.

The Squires improved their record to 4-3 and play next in the Caston Tourney on Saturday.

Girls JH 8th Basketball beats Whitko Middle School 26 – 8

Extending their winning streak to 3 games, the 8th grade Lady Squires were victorious over the Whitko Wildcats tonight! The girls moved the ball well in the first half and had many great looks, but they couldn’t buy a basket. Coming out of halftime, we picked up our energy with some full court pressure which turned into points on the board. The defense held strong all night long. A special thanks to Hannah Dawson from the 7th grade team that played really well with us because we were missing a player.
