Boys Varsity Basketball beats Blackford 62 – 37

The Golden Eagles varsity basketball team defeated a very good Blackford team 62–37! Blackford had been a hot shooting team their last few games but Oak Hill’s defensive pressure as a team stifled their shooting tonight. It was a great team victory on both ends of the floor as multiple players got in and helped out defensively and offensively. After a defensive struggle in the first quarter which saw the Eagles with an 8–6 lead, the Golden Eagles then scored 45 points in the next 2 quarters combined to essentially put the game away. Scoring for the Eagles: Jace Tonagel with 18, Trenton Sweet with 12, RJ Shugart with 11, Jackson Lamb with 10, Ryan Lawson with 6, Levi Trexler with 3, and Beckham Lamb with 2. The Golden Eagles will host top State ranked in 2A Tipton this Tuesday as they will be put to the test. Come on out and support the Eagles for this big game! JV tip off at 6 PM.
