Squires Pick Up Huge TRC Win At Peru
The Manchester Squires traveled to Peru on Friday night and got a big conference win 61-59.
The Squires are 7-0 in conference play and improved to 17-2 on the season. The Squires were down 1 at half and had a big third quarter that put them in front by 6. In the fourth quarter, Peru went on a 12-0 run and built a three point lead that didn’t last long. Gavin Martin connected on a big three pointer and Ethan Hendrix followed with a three pointer of his own that gave the Squires a three point lead.
Gavin Martin had a season high 19 points that and led the Squires in scoring. Ethan Hendrix had 18 points and came up with a blocked shot on Peru’s final shot attempt. Gavin Betten had another double double with 10 points and 12 rebounds and added 4 blocked shots. Other scorers for the Squries were Wyatt Prater 3, Tallon Torpy 3, Kaleb Kline 3, and Tyler McLain 2. Manchester return to action next Friday against Maconaquah.
