Boys Varsity Basketball beats Elwood 72 – 35

The boys varsity won their last conference game of the year over Elwood in dominating fashion, 72–35. The tone was set in the first quarter with Oak Hill’s smothering defense taking a 17 to 2 lead after that frame. They didn’t slow down the rest of the game as the Eagles won every quarter. The seniors that played today made sure they gave it their all as this was their last conference game in their career with each of them scoring in double digits. Collin Middlesworth lead with 16 as he poured in 11 in the 4th quarter. Levi Trexler scored 14 as he poured in 12 in the third quarter. Trenton Sweet scored eight in the first half and five in the second half for his balanced 13 points. Jackson Lamb also had balance scoring and ended up with his ten points. Sophomore RJ Shugart had 9 points with 2 assists and 2 rebounds, and Freshman Jace Tonagel had 8 points and 8 assists. Freshman Landon Cruzan rounded out the scoring with 2 points. The Eagles will host Northwestern this Tuesday for their senior night. JV tip off at 6 PM. Come on out and support your seniors and the rest of the Golden Eagles!

Oak Hill senior Emilio Liscano (144 lbs.) was the 23rd wrestler in school history to qualify for the state finals. His season and high school wrestling career ended with a loss by a 7-21 major decision to Reese Courtney of Center Grove on Friday evening at the Ford Center in Evansville. Courtney ended up as the third place finisher in the 144 lb. weight class.

Emilio ended his season with a record of 40-5. His career record was 98-22 (.817).
